Despite its reputation for being intensely urban, Hong Kong has great places to find quiet break from the city. One of them is island Cheung Chau.
This little island is located only 40 min, via a beautifully scenic ferry ride, from the busy metropolis. I loved the beach with the view of the Hong Kong skyline, tiny shops, outdoor cafes and locals wearing wide-brimmed hats while riding along the narrow streets on bikes or sitting outside. Sipping mango smoothies on the beach felt like real vacation. It was a great day to avoid rain in the city and to get first sunburn this year. I wish I was inspired by local fashion and got a hat.
TIP: I would recommend visiting Cheung Chau if you have a day to spare in the Hong Kong.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Cheung Chau. Let me know if you have visited Hong Kong and how did you like it? If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.
