I don’t even know where to begin. The past few months have been quite stressful, I made some changes in my life and I needed a few days offline and away from my thoughts. Enjoying simple goodness of exploring foreign city is the best way for me to do that.
Valencia bakes in the sun, no wonder that most of the Valencian’s favourite activities take place outdoors. City reshaped its urban form over the past few decades, it has dramatically increased its green space and access to the sea.
Jardín del Turia (Gardens of Turia) was envisioned as a spine for the city. When I descended from street level into this depressed leafy strip I was surprised with the atmosphere. It is a large network of walking, jogging, cycling paths and scenic patches of grass, flowers, trees and water with plenty of funky architecture as well. Park allows cyclists and pedestrians to traverse much of the city without the use of roads and it ends with famous Ciudad de las artes y las ciencias (City of arts and sciences). This part of the city speaks for itself.
My days were filled with exploration and good company. Feeling relaxed and carefree I enjoyed blissful afternoons soaking surrounds in Valencia.
TIP: Try horchata (orxata) is a popular soft drink from Valencia, made of water, sugar and tiger nut (chufas).

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Valencia. Let me know if you have visited Spain and how did you like it. If you need any more recommendations, drop me a line.

I spent whole week there, the city of Valencia is made up of dozens of districts each with a different vibe. Definitely … I recommend. :)
