Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. I decided to test it and assigned the task of writing a blog post about Ostuni. This was the assignment: write me a blog post about Ostuni in emotional way.

I really liked Ostuni, but I spent less time there than I wanted and I had the feeling that I didn’t collect enough experience or material to write a post. AI didn’t have that problem, here is the result:

As soon as you arrive in Ostuni, you can feel the charm and magic of this small, picturesque town. Known as “The White City,” Ostuni is located in the region of Puglia, in southern Italy. Its white buildings, winding alleyways, and stunning views of the Adriatic Sea create an ambiance that is difficult to resist. From the moment I stepped foot in Ostuni, I was enchanted by its beauty. The town’s white-washed buildings seemed to sparkle in the sun, and the narrow, winding streets were filled with the aroma of fresh-baked bread and the sounds of locals chatting and laughing. The atmosphere was infectious, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of happiness and contentment wash over me.

The old town of Ostuni is a labyrinth of alleys, stairways, and small piazzas, all leading up to the impressive Ostuni Cathedral. The cathedral’s rose window and intricate facade are a testament to the town’s rich history and cultural heritage. As I walked through the streets, I felt like I was transported back in time, surrounded by the remnants of a bygone era. I also knew that the memories and emotions I had experienced would stay with me forever. Ostuni had captured my heart, and I knew that I would always look back on my visit with a sense of wonder and affection. In the end, Ostuni is more than just a beautiful town in Italy. It is a place that captures the essence of the Italian spirit: warm, welcoming, and full of life. It is a place that makes you feel alive and reminds you of what it means to be human. And for that, I will always be grateful.

I removed several paragraphs where AI wrote about me chatting with the baker about his latest batch of bread or sharing a glass of wine with a new friend at a local bar. Of course that didn’t happen, as I didn’t even smell the aroma of bread AI mentioned. But other things hit pretty well.
