Leaned in to the rhythms of Adriatic life. Ice cream for lunch. Evening glasses of wine. Leisurely late-night meals. All the fish. Weirdest concert. Frequent church bells. Conversations. Tisno. Usually hot afternoons. Islands on the horizon as layers of happiness. Tricky roads. A beach to ourselves. Murtarić. Place to clear your head. The sound of the crickets. Waves gracing me with their presence. Salty skin. Tangled hair. The softest sunsets. Infinite skies. Mixed bag of emotions. Unforgettable vacation.
Home is where I want to be.
Murter is an island, part of Šibenik archipelago, very accessible from the mainland as it is connected by a short bridge, and for a few days it became my harbour. Creating temporary harbours is really interesting, every place where I spend some time changes me a little, teaches me something, enriches me. I create an intimate connection with those places, and leave a part of myself in each of them.
Lately, last minute trips are my practice, almost specialty. The logistic of this trip was so convoluted, we slept in Gračac (Lika county) on the first night because there was no available accommodation on the island in the middle of the tourist season. These are all the charms of travel.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring around Murter. Let me know if you have visited Croatia and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.
