This is a lake for lazy people.

Now I understand why this is the most popular lake in the Dolomites. It is accessible by car and you don’t need a couple of hours of hiking to enjoy its beauty. Therefore, I came early in the morning to walk the loop trail around the lake without hordes of people. Generally this trail is considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h to complete and has even small beaches for sunbathing.

TIP: Swimming is allowed, and rowing is obviously mandatory activity for most visitors.
