Susak, an island 3 km long and 1.5 km wide with altitude to 30 meters, geologically different from other Adriatic islands (mostly formed of fine sand).
Being somewhere different with camera on my shoulder, curiosity and senses open to everything that’s new around me. I try to take a photos which capture a little of what I saw and convey a sense of place. A special kind of reed can be found all over the island. Walking through it was a lot of fun for me, finding another beach on the island as in a special labyrinth. I had free snacks on this beaten path because the flatter upper parts of the island are covered by bushes of blackberry and I adore all kinds of berries.
Once I reached the desired beach I started slowing down on time. Sun, sand, sea, salt, snacks and (my first ever) science fiction book. A moment of solitude as the sea crosses the sandy shore. I will never forget this place or this afternoon.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring around Susak. Let me know if you have visited Croatia and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

I’ve been to Croatia, however, haven’t heard of Susak. Looks amazing. While many places in Croatia have an Italian feel to it, Susak deems rather a bit Greek.
