Italy

“Don’t waste your love on somebody, who doesn’t value it.”
William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet

Known as the ‘city of lovers’, because of the Shakespeare’s play, Verona’s main visitors are couples. Not far from the Arena of Verona, in Via Cappello 23 is located house with the famous balcony. Under this balcony, Romeo had declared his love to Juliet and now heaps of people come to visit this place.

Have you ever been in love? Do you have enough courage to love another person fiercely, just like Romeo loved Juliet? Love opens your heart and someone can get inside you and mess you up. Scary, isn’t it?

I was in the mood for some sunshine, great food and amazing sights. Rewarded with wonderful weather and good company I tried to celebrate every fleeting moment in time and to fully engage in life. I was mostly celebrating with aperitivo or gelato in my hands.

One of my favourite things about Verona or Italy in general is how you can easily enjoy just being there, even without intentionally sightseeing, art is absolutely everywhere. Just aimlessly wandering the streets and taking in the atmosphere is enough for my happiness.

TIP: Giardino Giusti is one of the nicest areas in Verona. The palace was built in the sixteenth century and the garden is considered one of the finest examples of an Italian garden.
