Aberdeen is located in the southwest of Hong Kong Island, famous for its boat people living in the harbour and floating seafood restaurants. It was the perfect place to explore rest of Hong Kong.
For the ordinary visitor like me, Aberdeen is an extremely enjoyable place. Public transport is comfortable and efficient. Everything is within easy access, city of Hong Kong is just 20 minutes from here, beaches within reach, same as islands.
I was obsessed with housing architecture in Hong Kong, because every tiny window has a unique story. Each building facade is packed with rows of windows that seem to extend into vertical infinity. The only way to accommodate the population is by building higher, adding another layer of construction to every little void. As one of the densest urban agglomerations on the planet it’s hard to imagine scaling it up even further.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Aberdeen. Let me know if you have visited Hong Kong and how did you like it? If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

Thanks so much! I decided to leave city of HK for couple of days to explore a little bit further, Aberdeen was a great place to do that. It was less busy and everything was so close. :)
