Destination I would have never imagined spending a vacation in … is Poland. No matter where I fly to, I will always find interesting things to do.
I crave constantly to slow down, but my mind doesn’t give me opportunity to take a rest. Finding a way to keep me busy, especially in a place I have never visited before. I have insatiable need to explore all the time. Sometimes I feel happy when the weather outside is bad, I’m grateful for the rain and the chance to not feel guilt for taking it slow.
It turns there is so much to do in Krakow, a city that had such a meaningful historical impact. I had no idea how beautiful and unique Krakow would be. It’s a city with a rich past, but its turned towards the future. Although the old part of the city is beautiful, my favourite neighbourhood was Kazimierz, the Jewish quarter. International cuisine, little pastry stands in every corner, trendy bars and hip coffee shops have really put Krakow on the map, bringing more and more people to its streets.
Legend about founding Krakow is very cute. There was an evil dragon named Smok and he lived beneath Wawel Hill. Like every story, there was a prince who defeat the dragon and everyone lived happily … until the period of the Second World War, that most people know Krakow best for.
Dear Krakow, after all you will remain a very nice memory. ♥︎

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Krakow. Let me know if you have visited Poland and how did you like it? If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

These photos are beautiful and do such a wonderful job of catching the pulse of the city. I have not visited Krakow but it is high up on my list of places to visit. Your photos reminded me I need to plan a trip soon (haha and hopefully during summer!)

Love all these photos! I’m the same way, I always strive to be busy while traveling (and in life) and I have a very hard-time slowing down. It always feels like i’m going to miss something. Poland looks very Eastern European and I love it. The grey tones remind me of Seattle, Washington, USA!
