Crowded beaches and parties, easiest way for me to describe Budva and not to be harsh.
Without doubt Montenegro is very beautiful, but this place is the most over rated tourist hotspot I’ve ever come across. Beaches are packed with people, if you like laid beach towels with less than two centimetres between them, loud music blared out from speakers every few meters… this is the place for you.
Old town surrounded by fortified walls is worth of short stay. Night life can be fun if you come across some good musicians or dj’s. I enjoyed the long walks along the sea, Sveti Stefan is just 6 km south of Budva with less crowded beaches and amazing views.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Budva and Sveti Stefan. Let me know if you have visited Montenegro and how did you like it? If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

Wow, it does look crowded. But otherwise, it looks very beautiful. I don’t know much about Montenegro but I’m sure it’s gonna be one of those up and coming destinations. Is it expensive over there or not too bad by European standards?

I visited big part of Montenegro, prices are even lower than places in the region. Coast and the mountains are really beautiful.
