Have you ever been in a town that is so beautiful that you don’t like it?
I was looking forward to a day trip to Colmar. Colmar is a small town located in France’s Alsace region, on the northeastern border near Germany and Switzerland. This adorable small French town has traditional half-timbered houses and uneven cobblestone streets. But is that enough for fairytale town? No. Houses are decorated in vibrant colours, windows have carved hearts and an abundance of overflowing flower pots.
Although I enjoyed spending time here, it was a bit too much for me. I wanted to reduce every corner. How do you like it?

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Colmar. Let me know if you have visited France and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

In LOVE with those houses, those little hear shutters are adorable – I’ve never even heard of Colmar but so want to go now!

We full time travel throughout Europe in our camper and France is always a firm favourite, especially when we get off the beaten track. I’m so sorry you didn’t like Colmar. We’ve been twice, once in the spring and once with the Christmas Markets and love it every time we go. Kx
