Taking it slow on the island of Vis.
This is the place to come if you want ‘pomalo’ – the Dalmatian philosophy of doing things slowly. Another word to learn when staying at the south of Croatia is ‘fjaka’ (pronounced ‘fyaka’) – a deliciously lazy mood, relaxed life.
The weather was hot, and I was in state of mind when there is an aspiration for nothing and to do nothing. After 7 beautiful days in Komiža I fell into the mode of ‘fjaka’ and ‘pomalo’ naturally.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through island of Vis. Let me know if you have visited Croatia and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

Your pictures are beautiful! Taking things slow is definitely something we don’t get to do very much.

Funny how we don’t seem to have that word for deliberately enjoying life in a slow, lazy manner in English. Your pictures are stunning.
