Taking it slow on the island of Vis.
This is the place to come if you want ‘pomalo’ – the Dalmatian philosophy of doing things slowly. Another word to learn when staying at the south of Croatia is ‘fjaka’ (pronounced ‘fyaka’) – a deliciously lazy mood, relaxed life.
The weather was hot, and I was in state of mind when there is an aspiration for nothing and to do nothing. After 7 beautiful days in Komiža I fell into the mode of ‘fjaka’ and ‘pomalo’ naturally.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through island of Vis. Let me know if you have visited Croatia and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

Looovely photos!!
I can see you really got into the spirit of ‘fjaka’ and ‘pomalo’! I think if I make it to Croatia I will have to do the same. What a lovely way to travel. :)

Oh it looks so lovely there. Is Vis the one with the crazy V-shaped beach? I bet it the perfect place to enjoy that slower pace of life. (Cute dresses too)

Croatia was such a surprise to me! I ended up there as part of a tour I had selected for its other destinations, Croatia had neve been on my radar. It turned out to be such a delight! And that mediterranean water!
