Taking it slow on the island of Vis.
This is the place to come if you want ‘pomalo’ – the Dalmatian philosophy of doing things slowly. Another word to learn when staying at the south of Croatia is ‘fjaka’ (pronounced ‘fyaka’) – a deliciously lazy mood, relaxed life.
The weather was hot, and I was in state of mind when there is an aspiration for nothing and to do nothing. After 7 beautiful days in Komiža I fell into the mode of ‘fjaka’ and ‘pomalo’ naturally.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through island of Vis. Let me know if you have visited Croatia and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

Ooh, Croatia has been on the top of my list forever! I love the concept of fjaka and can totally see why this would be the place to experience it. Your pictures transport me to a world far away from where I’m at right now, so thank you for that!
