“Stupid is as stupid does.” – Forrest Gump
Girls road trip weekend from Atlanta to Savannah was the best way to start my American adventure. Even though this was not one of the ultimate America’s road trips, I will always be so grateful for memories like these.
How to describe Savannah? Lazy, slow and incredibly romantic wherever possible. Savannah’s attractive modified grid plan makes finding your way so simple that it’s almost fun to try to get lost. Each square is like a mini park, with a statue, fountain or monument in the middle. Chippewa Square is the most famous square of all, that’s where Forrest Gump sat on a bench and told his life story. I watched the movie again when I came back home.
TIP: Savannah College of Art and Design is one of the best art schools in the United States. As a result, you can see lots of art throughout the city. Visit some SCAD exhibitions.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Savannah. Let me know if you have visited USA and how did you like it. If you need any more recommendations, drop me a line.

Never made it to Savannah during my time in America. But I did wholly enjoy this set of pictures. Looks like a fun little road trip!

Your library of pictures is beautiful.
A suggestion or rather a request, as a person from other side of the world, not everything in the album makes sense or is recognised.
You may put captions to the pictures please? I know that would mean a lot of your time but as a reader it would be helpful. If not in all, some do need captions.
Eg the picture with a very tall woman in lavender-purple shade – is she real or is it a statue ? I was not able to make out.

I will try. :) The tall woman is actually a man. That day in Savannah was organised Gay Pride. A lot people were dressed in very entreating outfits. :)

Oh I see.
Well pictures speak a lot
But sometimes words add to them.
There was lot behind the pictures then. 😊😊
