The presence of so many palm trees, pools, scantily attired people is a main reason of Miami Beach relaxed atmosphere. But there is nothing more calming than how small the ocean can make you feel.

When I got to Miami Beach I had the brief chance to soak in some sunshine. I had whole day planned out, but the beach was being pounded with enormous swell making swimming impossible. I ended up spending most of the day wandering around South Beach, the art deco playground. Iconic pastels and neon lights accessorise the architecture. The houses of Ocean Drive have been featured on television what must be millions of times, I felt like I was on a movie set. Everything is just a lot of fun to look at. Some of the most memorable buildings in Miami Beach are also the smallest. Lifeguard towers are unique examples of this form of architecture.

Residents of Miami Beach are very easygoing, this is definitely one of city’s huge pluses that is not always easy to come by in other cities.
