Stunning streets filled with pastel buildings, an endless parade of bikes and stylish people. For me Copenhagen is like stepping into a postcard.
The thought of experiencing a city on two wheels scared me, but Copenhagen changed my mind. This is a city that invites you to cycle, I just had to jump in the saddle. Everybody does it. As a first time visitor in Copenhagen the amount of bicycles on the streets was overwhelming, soon I started to love it. Friends and I spent the day riding through Copenhagen taking in the beautiful weather, it made such a drastic difference to seeing the sights by foot. After experiencing Danish life for a few days, I’m starting to see why the Danes are so famously happy.
While here, be sure to visit Christiania, an intriguing little place indeed. It exists today as an autonomous community within Copenhagen that is completely self governed. Exploring this area was one of most interesting things I did during my visit.
TIP: For your own safety, visitors are advised not to film nor photograph in Christiania.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Copenhagen. Let me know if you have visited Denmark and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.

Gorgeous photos! I love visiting bike-friendly cities. You can get around faster than walking but still interact with the city better than you can on a bus or in a car. Plus you feel a bit more like a local. I’d love to visit Copenhagen.

Love the photos! I really enjoyed Copenhagen, but think I need to go back because I didn’t get to see half of the things you snapped!

Thanks Becky. If these comforts, I didn’t see the little mermaid. :)
