Castel Gandolfo

Italy / Vatican

It’s hard to believe I was just a few kilometers from Rome as admired the peaceful lake views. Castel Gandolfo serves as a summer residence and vacation retreat for the pope.

With so many Italian friends who always take me to some spacial places I feel really lucky. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing atmosphere. Little town built on the shores of Lake Albano is known for its culture and gastronomic delicacies. Italian food forever.

TIP: Try porchetta, juicy boneless pork is a regional specialty.
