Tekapo

New Zealand

As a fan of big cities, I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to spend a few days in nature. Tekapo put those concerns to rest.

Time passed very slowly. Scenery surrounding was stunning. I spent hours by the Lake Tekapo,  it’s so picturesque and peaceful. There are walking tracks following the lake shore and for huge views I had to hike up to Mount John (1031 metres). Despite my objections about hiking, I like the feeling when I reach the top. I was awarded with a beautiful view of snow-capped peaks, the turquoise of Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki.
