New Zealand

Rain, pouring rain and the bad smell. Those were my first and last impressions of Rotorua, besides that I had a really good time.

Bad weather can’t spoil my mood. I felt like a child who is permitted to go into any puddle. Rotorua has countless geothermal attractions (source of the unpleasant smell), volcanic crater lakes, spouting geysers and bubbling mud pools. This is the most colorful nature I have ever seen. The landscape was out of this world.

I wanted to include rugby in my posts, since the All Blacks are the best rugby team in the world. I’m not the expert, only thing I know about rugby is that all the players are extremely hot and the fact that the All Blacks perform the Māori haka before all their games.

Haka is an important, iconic part of New Zealand’s history and traditions. Dance of war. I had the opportunity to see it live. Actions include violent but rhythmic body slapping and tongue protrusions to accompany a loud chant.
