Waiheke

New Zealand

Kia ora! Kia ora = Hello in the Māori language, literally it means ‘be well’.  I tried to learn some phrases while I was there.

I can’t imagine summer without a beach and sea. Waiheke Island is perfect getaway from Auckland, only a 40 minutes ferry ride from downtown. Beautiful beaches, vineyards and art galleries, like it was made for me. Apart from getting lost within the bays and seaside villages at your own interest I suggest swimming in the afternoon sun, walking the trail, watching sunset every evening, seeing some art, eating fish and a local bottle of wine.

TIP: Wear sunsceean.
