Sintra almost feels like a visit to Disneyland, like a page torn from a fairy tale.
This special place is filled with incredibly different castles, palaces and majestic gardens. If you want to feel like a princess this is the place for you. Palácio Nacional da Pena was my favorite castle, a palace fit for Cinderella. The only thing missing here was a handsome prince. Sintra is small, artsy and has an awesome vibe. I haven’t found the prince but I discovered ginja, a Portuguese liqueur made from cherries and served in chocolate cups. Delicious. Life is good and this town is amazing.

TIP: Getting to Sintra couldn’t be easier, there are direct trains that run every 15 minutes from Lisbon. The journey takes roughly 40 minutes.

I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Sintra. Let me know if you have visited Portugal and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.
