Ciao bella! How many days should I spend in Rome?
I postponed visiting Rome for so long despite my great desire. Knowing what it has to offer, based on my interests the amount of time I should spend in Rome is at least one month. Any big city can seem overwhelming on a first visit. When you travel to Rome for the first time, there’s so much history, culture and food to soak up. I had huge expectations of Rome and unfortunately not much time to explore it.
It’s impossible to get a full view of a city in just a few days, that’s why I returned back soon. According to the legend, if you throw a coin in Fontana di Trevi, you will return to Rome. Obviously it worked! It is crazy to be back in the exact same spot, overlooking the eternal city as eternal challenge. I’m simply thankful for being able to make the most of every moment.
Rome is an unforgettable encyclopedia of living history, a city of contrasts. The impressive squares, the ruins and many other charming places make you feel really special.
TIP: For the best panoramic views overlooking Roman rooftops and domes visit Giardino degli Aranci (the Orange Garden). Full of orange trees, it’s great place to escape the bustle of the city. Views stretch across the skyline from Trastevere all the way toward St. Peter’s Basilica.
I hope you like this little photo diary I put together to share my time adventuring through Rome. Let me know if you have visited Italy and how did you like it. If anyone has any feedback I’d be so appreciative to receive your comments and questions below.
