Vatican City is a walled enclave within the city of Rome. The territory is distinguished from the territory of Italy only by a white line. I favour wandering in the early morning while the town is peaceful, compared to the stampede of organised tour groups in the heat of the day. Having a moment getting to know the destination to yourself might impact your entire experience.
I had the opportunity to visit the Vatican again during lockdown 2020. St.Peter’s Square without tourists, what a reward! My styling is almost the same (black), only this time the dress is of a more appropriate length.
