Amsterdam has charmed and cast a spell over me. Arriving here made me feel completely out of my element, which is exactly the way I want to feel. I realised I don’t  want to leave this city, I felt in love with it.

It may be often cold and rainy, but I always have a warm feeling. There has been so many amazing moments in this city with not only the places I’ve been but the people I’ve shared it all with.

I love small village feeling of Amsterdam, and yet it is the capital. It is easy to became familiar with the city,  I felt like home already after my first visit. Many visits after this is still my favourite place in the world. I could visit Amsterdam a thousand times, and always have a completely different experience with this magical city.

Jordaan and De Pijp are the neighbourhoods I visit each time. Jordaan is a district known for its beautiful houses and narrow canals. De Pijp is starkly different from the picturesque canal district, with countless cafes and restaurants.

  1. Such a beautiful photographic journey through the canals of Amsterdam. My hubby and I got stranded there (due to some international flight problems) in 2016 and loved the two days we had roaming the canal streets, discovering the best coffee, dutch apple cake and Algerian street food cafe! Thanks for my trip down memory lane! It was a great time and we appreciated KLM for helping us enjoy this city due to this slight problem that was not a problme for us at all :)

  2. You have some very inspiring imagery from Amsterdam :). Thanks for sharing them. I loved Amsterdam, however, I was a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of bikes around and crossing the road was sometimes quite a challenge :).
